Aralam Wildlife Sanctuary

Aralam Wildlife Sanctuary is the northernmost wildlife sanctuary of Kerala, southwest India. It is 55 km² in area and located on the western slope of the Western Ghats. It was established in 1984. The headquarters of the sanctuary is near Iritty
A number of animal species including herds of elephants, spotted deer, Nilgiri Langur, Hanuman Langur and the Malabar Giant Squirrel can be found here. The tallest peak in the Kannur area, Katti Betta, is another added attraction for nature loving visitors. Aralam also boasts of many trekking trails.
